It's Monday! What Are You Reading? in which I obtain my seventh library card...

What I Finished This Week:

I've been eating, drinking, and breathing
Cybils fiction picture book nominees.

This week I finished reading my 250th Cybils
children's fiction picture book
after a 150 mile road trip that included
the acquisition of my 5th, 6th and 7th
library cards. (See below.)

A big thank you to all the libraries that helped me read 250 books
in the last four months.

  What I'm Reading Now:

Big Questions

The Discovery of Jeanne Baret

The Adventures of Tintin

Kitty Cornered by Bob Tarte

What I Might Read Next:

What are you reading today?!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! D This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme Book Journey loves to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Book Journey offers a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling me how many you visited.

  1. Wowza - that's a lot of picture books :-) The cover for The Discovery of Jeanne Baret is gorgeous - and looks like you have some really good books coming up - A Monster Calls was touching and I liked Across the Universe too.

  2. Wow! You have a wide variety of books to read! Congrats on finishing all those Cybils books.

    Have a great week!

  3. It was a lot of picture books! I've always served in the past on the nonfiction panel where we had about seventy nominees, so 250 books was like running a marathon after doing several 5K runs!

  4. I do have a nice variety of books to choose from for the next two weeks. It's great to have so many choices!

  5. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you, but in an awesome way! I hope you read all the books you want this week! :) Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy Reading!

  6. I hope I get a lot of books read this week, too!

  7. Kitty cornered looks interesting to read

    P/S I am a new follower

  8. I love all your library cards! Can't wait to see what you think about 1Q84.

  9. You see lots of dog books, but not so many kitty books. Kitty Cornered is a kitty book and it's hilarious!

  10. Across the Universe is a really great read and Lola too! Thanks for visiting my blog!

  11. I feel so proud of my library cards. I may post them on Facebook!

  12. Deb, you are so amazing! Congratulations on reaching book #250. I can't wait to read your thoughts on A Monster Calls, Queen of Falls, and Lola and the Boy Next Door. Happy reading!

  13. That's a lot of library cards! I thought my son had all the Tin Tin books, but that one doesn't look familiar. I'll have to go check out his shelves.

  14. Awesome reading week for you. A great selection to choose from too. Have a great reading week.

  15. The Runaway Princess looks like fun. I am always so interested in fairy tales and retellings.

  16. Sideways on a scooter - I know what you mean. Only in India do the ladies sit like that! Its a new one for me that I too would love to read.

  17. I see a bunch of books in your post that are either on my TBR or on my wishlist. Happy reading.

I'm on vacation and the time off has given me time to finish my GoodReads challenge. Please come see what I'm reading.
