I can't believe I've never read anything from Dr. Seuss. I don't think we had many or any books from him when I was little. I plan to fix that.

I can't believe that either! But it's never too late.

Same here at my library! The kids love those books. I do find the illustrations for the No, David books a little creepy, but the kids love them. And Mo Willems! Love him to pieces. The kids love finding the pigeon in his other books.

And Where is the Green Sheep - I love that one. The kids love guessing what each sheep is. So good.

Great list! :)

Oh that's so sweet. Made me think of my beloved "There's a Monster at the End of this Book."

I love the picture you made! It's adorable.

Dr Seuss is another one I'm thankful for. I'm not sure everyone else in my family loved listening to his books on cassette when we had roadtrips but I loved getting to recite Yurtle the Turtle along with the tape.

Great list :)

I have yet to read something from Chris Van Allsburg. I have my eye on his The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. And maybe Jumanji too. :)

Everything he writes is breathtaking.

Mem Fox is classic.

That's one I haven't read.

How would we have survived without Dr. Seuss?

I love the collage! Definitely Dr. Seuss. This makes me want to read The Polar Express, especially with the holidays nearby. :) Great picks!

Where is the Green Sheep is such a great book! I loved reading it to my son when he was a baby. Here's my list - a little bit different to yours! http://bit.ly/Y1jrZS

Great presentation! I've never heard of The Napping House, or The Viper. Will have to check them out.
